I used to coach 'em. I can tell you what's in those bags!
Most of the answers are pretty much correct, but in the bat bags (girls) there also is'
Sunscreen lotion,
2 or 3 sticks of deoderant! (they use a lot of that)
Personal (girl type) maintenance items,
Hair repair equipment, brushes, bands etc.
The jewelry they aren't supposed to wear during the game,
Cell phone,
Pain relievers and muscle rubs,
Ace bandages and wraps,
Water bottle,
A mini football, frisbee, or other play toy for in between games,
Lunch (this can be up to three weeks old)!
I ain't kidding, You can really find most anything in those bags! Some stuff you don't want to know about!

i play high school ball too. it really depend what position u play. if u play first base then ull need a first baseman mit (an employee at a sporting good store will know), a bat, i suggest batting gloves, and i suggest a batting helment with a face mask. itll really hurt if u get hit. if u are an outfielder then instead of having a first baseman mit then you will have a outfielder mit whitch is bigger than an infielder mit. don't forget the colletes, those are important. good luck.

This is what I always keep in my bag.
glove
batting gloves
bat
helmet
sun screen
nail clippers
hair brush and ties
visor
sun glasses
sports bra
knee gaurds
socks
sliders
tee shirt
ibuprophen
icy hot
bandaids
If she is going to a tournament, the extra socks, sports bra, and tee shirt are very important!
