Each house plant is different, and so are the requirements for water and light. Each plant should come with a tag that tells if it requires extreme light, low light, etc, and how much water it needs.

Generally rule of thumb is if you can stick your finger in the dirt about 1 inch and it is dry it needs water.

If you still have questions take the plant into your local florist, they should be able to tell you what it is and what it needs in lighting and watering.

Hope this helps. Have a good day and happy gardening!

I use the same fertilizer on every plant inside.....Schultz bought at any Kmart or Walmart....7 drops to a quart of water...every time I water. On small plants, water if the surface and right underneath is dry...on big pots, that's right....stick your finger down at least an inch or two to see if it needs to be watered....if you know which plants you have, maybe we can tell you how much light is required....

Just make sure they have water when needed. Maybe a little fertilizer once in awhile.
