Go to http://www.usps.com/ and click on the 'Locate A Post Office" tab at the red bar on the top. Type your address (or part of it) into the webform, and you'll get a listing of nearby post offices.
You can also look in your phone book.
Another way to find a post office is to drive through the center of town. Most small towns will have a easily distinguised post office with a US flag flying during business hours, and mail drop boxes either in front or nearby.
You can also talk to the mail carrier. He or she will know where you can find the nearest post office.
