Nope, this season is not the end. According to THE CW its the most successful and creative season. This sixth season was planned from last year. Al Gough & Miles Millar said in a recent interview. They need a season 7 because they have loads more stories to tell. They also explained that Season 7 might not be the last and it could get extended. In their own words 'Every story has a beginning and an ending, Smallville will have its ending and we cant say season 7 is our last, we know when it will end'
