Someone here at work was told that Maryland entitles employees 3 hours of paid time to vote.

Two hours if the employee does not otherwise have two consecutive hours off while polls are open.

You are allowed to take up to two hours off to vote, with pay, if you do not have two hours before or after work. You have to prove that you are a registered voter.
