I agree that "Cat's in the cradle" is a Harry Chapin tune from his 1974 album "Verities & Balderdush" All other versions are much later. And yes Cat Stevens never did the song he didn't use to sing songs he didn't write anyway.

Cat's in the Cradle - It was originally done by Harry Chapin and covered by Ugly Kid Joe - it was NOT done by Cat Stevens, though if you get on a file sharing network and search under Cat Stevens you'll find it because people are monkeys and think that just because the song is called "CAT's in the Cradle", it must be by Cat Stevens - sorry, my rant's over now
