You could fly direct to Galway from London Luton with aer arann. Luton airport is a bit out of the way however, so this may not appeal to you. Alternatively you could fly from Heathrow to Shannon, which is about a 90 minute drive from Galway city, with aer lingus. You can also fly to Shannon from Gatwick with Ryanair.

Hope that helps and enjoy your trip!

Aer Arann fly from London Luton (LTN) Direct to Galway (GWY).

However you could always fly Ryanair from Gatwick, Luton or Stanstead to Knock (West Ireland).

Knock is a small airport in Mayo north of Galway.

There is a Bus Eireann (Irish Bus) shuttle bus from Knock Airport which coincides with landing times you can get direct connections to Galway City with this bus, and a connecting bus at the main station to Connemara.
It is roughly an hour and a half on the bus to Galway but Ryanair flights are much cheaper than Aer Arann so sometimes it is worth it.
Hope this helps!
Enjoy the hols...
