can i wear contacts?

i am 11 and i wear glasses...can i wear clear contacts or no???...i can't wait till i'm 18 i want it now!!!!help me pls!

Of course you can. My boyfriend got contancts in middle school and still wears them (he's 21 now). Just make sure to keep them clean and take them out when you go to sleep! You can hurt your eyes keeping them in too long (haha, boyfriend's advice). Hope you can get them soon!

Of course you can wear contacts now!! There is no rule that says you have to wait until you are 18. I have been wearing glasses since I was in the 4th grade. I got contacts when I was your age. Your eye doctor will schedule a time for you to practice putting contacts in and then you can get contacts. They are an adjustment to get used to, don't get frustrated, it takes time to get used to.

I started wearing glasses at the age of 13. My power was increasing slowly. At the age of 26, i started wearing contact lens and after that my power was NOT increasing much. In fact, it is stable. Now for the past 10 years, i am wearing lens and iam very comfortable. But change the lens once in 2 years and don't go for colour lens, if you have high number. And don't go for use and throw - temporary lens.

yes, if you are responsible enough to use them. I have been wearing them since 7th grade, and I was 11 then. you have to make sure that you take good care of them and clean them every day. in fact there is some evidence that wearing the rigid gas permeable lenses at an early age may have some benefits.. do some research on this.

i too am also 11 i wear contacts i am near sighted it takes effort and discipline to put in contacs because its hard to put it into your eyes but if u were really willing to go through with it i say u should be able to have contacts

You could wear contacts already. Just make sure you clean them and dont sleep with them on.
