add -100 x^2
0=4x^4-98.5x^2
x^2(4x^2-98.5)=0
x^2=0 or 4x^2-98.5=0
4x^2-98.5=0
x^2=98.5/4
x=+/-rt(98.5)/2
so x=0 or +/-(rt98.5)/2

Hi! :)
The procedure is as follows [I'll just re-arrange it a bit to make it easier for both of us! :) ]:
4x^4 + 1.5x^2 = 100 x^2
4x^4 + 1.5x^2 - 100 x^2 = 0
4x^4 - 98.5 x^2 = 0
x^2 (4x^2 - 98.5) = 0
Either x^2 = 0 ==> x = 0
Or 4x^2 - 98.5 = 0
4x^2 = 98.5
x^2 = 98.5/4
x = \|98.5/4 = \|98.5/2, approximately equals = 4.962
I hope that helps. :) Take care and have a great day. :)

4x^4+1.5x^@ = 100x^2
subtract 100x^2 from both the sides
4x^$-98.5x^2=0
x^2(4x^2-98.5) = 0
x^2 =0 or 4x^2-98.5 =0
If x^2 =0, x =0
If 4x^2-98.5 =0
4x^2= 98.5
taking square roots of both sides
2x =+-9.925
so x =+-4.9625
so x =0 or +-4.9625

100X^2=X^2(1.5+4X^2)
100X^2/X^2=1.5 + 4X^2, then X^2 is simplifid with X^2 and
100 -1.5=4X^2
98.5=4X^2
98.5/4=X^2
â98.5/4=X
