Last week I saw a post on here where a woman was talking about hiring a private eye to investigate her daughters boyfriend. Somebody mention the link http://background-records.net/ as a good place to find info online. Well I checked out the site and entered my sisters boyfriends name and found out that he was convicted of armed robbery in 1999. I know this is him because the name, date of birth, and address are all the same. I am sure my sister or my dad doesn't know.......should I tell my sister or our dad? I don't know how to handle this situation.

I've answered this question for you before. What are you doing? Waiting until someone agrees with the way you want to handle it?

If I see this question from you again, I'm going to be checking that you're abusing the system.

yes, being a felon is serious. even if they are completely turned around now, she has a right to know because it can have serious consequences later down the road in life. she should at least know what she is dealing with. also, if he is not open and honest about his past, what kind of man is this? he should have been up front about something such as this if he is serious about her.

are you sure thats legit? i just put my name in it and got a hit. matching zip code and age. and i'm not a felon! probably because it checks for everything, including death. i dont know about that site. did you pay for the said info? be careful what you do.

Yes, but are you sure she doesn't already know? Show her the site on the internet. If it is a good relationship, then he should have already told her about the incident. People make mistakes and if he paid his debt, then let it go.

Yes, you should tell them both.

You will be saving your sister from years of heartache should she decide to get serious about this guy.

You absolutely have to tell your sister first in a nonjudgemental way. Try to be compassionate about it. It's up to her whether or not she tells your dad. That's on her, not you.
