Considering what can sometimes happen in schools regarding guns, I am in favor of students being allowed to have mobile phones. At the first sign of trouble, a student would be able to call for help and keep the police informed of what is happening. The phones should, however, be turned off. They are easy enough to turn on in the event of an emergency.
