after a few laps on the track, i sat down and noticed that a portion of the rubberized track had melted to my shorts. i dont know how to take it off. i dont know also what material it is made of. please help.

take a litle bit of lighter fluidd, a, rub it realyy hard into the material-- and see if that takes it out-- and may we add-- dont light a match too it either hons!!

WD-40.

No kidding. Spray it on the area inside and out and rewash it by itself in the machine.

You can try some "Goo Gone". I use it for a lot of different things, and it says that it works on a variety of things like tar, grease, crayon, markers, etc.
