It should be someone new to the tv scene since everyone else is already busy in their respective positions, at least the ones I've been thinking of! I would think that they would go with a new, fresh look, unlike all these other busy-bodies in the industry. Good question, though...had me racking my brain!

What a great question. Unfortunately there are no more "true game show" hosts, but out of work actors who take on the role. My gut feel is that an unknown is going to get a shot at this, but there are some who might be considered (and unfortunately these are out of work actors).
Right now that unknown might be Dave Price. He's a weatherman from NYC that now appears on the CBS Early Show.
Other retreads might include:
1) Alan Thicke: I think he did a good job on the Celebrity Cooking show even though it bombed. I think he's a favorite.
2) Richard Karn: Heard this name mentioned above. Did a nice job on Family Feud and I think would fit the show perfectly.
3) Bob Saget: I get a funny feeling he's going to get consideration. I don't think he's a good choice, but I have a feeling the name will come up.
4) Tom Bergeron: Please tell me that he won't get this gig. He's awful.

Ryan Seacrest came to mind first when I heard the news, but I don't know if he could be long-lasting. He has so many other things he is doing. They need some one young though to put some new energy into the show, but also someone that can stay with it a long time. Watching Bob got too painful years ago. He should have quit way back when he started forgetting things, accidentally giving the answers when explaining a game and tripping over things.

I like Pat Sajak, he seems to have a wonderful sense of humor, I think he would be perfect to replace Bob. Sorry to see Bob go as he is The Man of the show, but I knew sometime he would want to retire.

How about Adam Sandler? They worked so well together...maybe he picked up a couple of pointers.
Seriously, I don't think anyone will be able to completely fill Bob Barkers' shoes. They've tried and failed if I remember correctly.

I heard that it's the end of the show. I think it is really sad and love Bob (who doesn't)!

Good question! Richard Karn was likeable on Family Feud--how about him?
