I love it the best one, it get virus that others can't
I don't like the Norton AV retail version it's really annoying with all those stuff plus there this subscription in which u have to pay ever year. it just waste memory on the user friend interface.
i have the Norton AV corptional version, i got through school which is basically straightforward and no cool designs(GUI) on it so it's nice to have, it hides until it finds virus then it only alerts you.
Right now using
4MB on Real time scan
500k on Update watch
3 MB on tray
that not bad compare to others.
i used to use mcafe and ran nortan at the same time,
when i download spyware files, nortan would alert me because spyware are usally keylogger, or Trojans,
mcafee just acts like nothing has happend. i even turn nortan and see if mcaffee detect when i reopened a spyware file and nope it did.
Norton does have the best Virus Protection you can trust.
Like this say just having any kind of virus protection doesn't mean you are protected they have to be up to date to protect you.
have one that doesn't' is just the same as not having one.

Norton is trouble some. If u download the trial version, it pops up every now and then reminding u of purchasing it. Further, it slows down the PC very badly. I would suggest AVG Grisoft which has a free home version. Updates are also freely available.

Norton sucks.
NOD32 hands down.
Dont listen to everyone's personal opinion, NOD32 ranks highest or within the top 3 of every A/V test it has ever been in. Not the most user friendly, but is hands down the best and most consistent A/V on the market. Research it if you don't believe me.

Nortan seemed to be pretty good two years back. Now its just getting bulkier and inefficient. And it consumes too much of system resources. They come up with hundred products but almost fail in the competition. I prefer to use other lighter, efficient virus scanners.

I have experience with Norton, Trend Micro, and McAfee packages. My preference is clearly with McAfee. It does its downloading/updates in the background and has excellent user-friendly security and spam features. In fact, its spam filter actually creates itself inside Outlook. One man's opinion, of course.
