I am really really shy, and shave my downstairs at the mo, but I hate the growing back, but really could never go and get it waxed offf. Are there any products for hair removal that are safe to use down there, and not just on the bikini line?

What about an epilator, you can remove the hair at home then and it lasts as long as waxing. It can be a bit uncomfortabel though

I think you should get over your shyness or fear and go to a cosmetician and get it waxed. Any other product you may use won't be as effective. You could try find a nice cosmetician that treats you right and makes you feel comfortable and keep going there. After a while it doesn't hurt much after the skin gets used to it and the results are.. great! If not, I would go for an epilator, but you probably need a little exercise until you manage to remove all the hair. I don't agree with the razor or shaving cream, maybe only in extream cases; it makes the hair grow faster and thicker. If you go for cream, you should test it first on a small part of your skin, to be sure your not sensitive to itr and don't get irritated.

waxing is the best form of removal. trust me!

shaving the area irritates when it grows back

veet - immac is just as bad as shaving and grows back the next day

threading - my god, you'll be there for ages!

waxing is by far the best option, yes it does hurt, but if you find a good therapist she will take you to where you want to go to in stages, you may only get the sides done the first time then the next time you go you will probably venture a bit further in until you get to where you want you lines to be!
(this means the whole area as well not just the sides of the bikini, you can have everything off and further down - i think this is what you mean )- just make sure you use a good therapist

trust me , the pain does get less the more you do it, but you need to make sure you do it regular to get the best results, usually about every 4-6 weeks.
yes, growing it to the length it needs to be is a pain the first few times and doesnt look very pretty but i assure you by the time you have been doing it for a while, the growth rate of the hair slows down, the hair becomes much thinner, there is no irrating itching like in shaving and you will get to a point where it stays hair free for a few weeks then all of a sudden it just grows again, and you then go and get rid of it all over again!

if its really too painful for you, perservere. take a couple of paracetamol about half and hour to an hour before you go, this might take the edge of the pain off for you(!), the best technique i can offer you is that when your therapist takes the strip off make sure that the skin is pulled as taut as possible, this reduces the pain as well for you.

p.s. dont try the at home waxing,- you will only end up giving yourself in growing hairs and after all this is what we were trained to do ! trust me when i say we know best!!!

You need to be quite careful, and it depends how far you want to go as to whether hair remover creams are ok. Even ones that are developed for that area can only be used away from the sensitive bits. I used to shave but got fed up with it and have now changed to waxing. It's really not as embarassing as you think it might be. Remember you never have to see that person again if you don't want to. Even if you go the whole hog you get to keep some skimpy underwear on.
I'd give the waxing a try - I was really nervous the first time, but it's definitely worth it.

waxing is not that bad or painful. i know that you said that you're really shy. a good therapist will put you at ease and make you and you're waxing as comfortable as possible. when shaving ,when the hair grows back ,its so itchy. with waxing its not. go speak to afew beauty therapist's,tell them how you feel, they show you around etc. and you can pick one that you like and feel comfortable with. if a therapist refuses to see you with out waxing.then their no good. try it you may be surprised.

I'm sure that Veet do a mousse or cream especially for that sensitive area, as long as you dont get it too near the very sensitive bit you should be OK. Check the packaging though. I wouldn't want to give you dangerous advice.
