Whatever you do, DONT ever buy kitchen appliances! On second thought, buy her something like a toaster or some kitchen appliance and hide the real gift inside (really expensive jewelry) as a joke. That is IF she has a sense of humour. Scented candles also a good idea. Good luck, this is a minefield! ps Also a good gift - chocolate body paint.... Yeah baby yeah!

I agree that a spa treatment would be nice! You can get gift certificates so she can choose her own treatment, or if you want to spend a little more, can book a half day or even a full day of various treatments.
It also depends what she likes. I am addicted to handbags, for example, and *love* when my partner takes me shopping and lets me pick out my own gift. (I know it sort of ruins the element of surprise, but at least I get a handbag I really like...)
You could always take her out shopping as a surprise and just announce "I'd like you to pick out a special dress for your Christmas present so that you can wear it to another surprise I'm planning for you!" Then purchase tickets to a theatre show, if she likes them, to give to her at Christmas. It's like the gift that keeps on giving! First she gets to buy a dress before Christmas, then she gets the excitment of opening the tickets on Christmas Day and then she actually gets to go to the show at a later date--say, in January or February--and wear the nice dress!

Are there any hobbies she enjoys? You could sign her up for a cooking class, a cake decorating class, a pottery class, etc.

Do you have kids? Maybe they haven't had a family portrait done in awhile, you could take them to a picture studio and have a really nice portrait done of them together and put it in a really nice frame than can become a focal point for your living room.

if all else fails, remember this one simple rule: women do NOT like receiving slinky underthings as gifts. That's more like a gift for you, not her.

I am amazed and very proud of you for asking instead of just assuming. Go out with your wife for a couple of dates - one to a mall, where you walk through the mall and follow her lead most of the time. The main thing is to LISTEN to what she says, observe the things that she admires. You'll pick up on clues to what it is she wants. I say the mall because of the variety of stores but you don't need to necessarily purchase there unless it is the only place the item is offered. But you still have time to purchase whatever it is elsewhere, like on amazon.com.

Another thing to do is take her on a date to your downtown and again window shop and listen to her cues - she will admire certain things and you will find out ideas.

many human beings ought to, and characteristic, long previous by using what Jesus did. The question, although a lot of your Christian readers seem to have ignored this, isn't regardless of if every person has via his dying effectively stored a team of persons's souls. this is regardless of if every person might make the sacrifice interior the 1st place -- fulfillment in giving salvation isn't the situation. limitless persons have died to shop persons -- comrades and strangers alike. this is genuine in conflict yet additionally in different circumstances. every person who helped others into the final lifeboat; every person who has run right into a burning development to shop a existence; every person who persisted to coach torah understanding that the Romans or the Inquisition have been around the nook, finding for Jews to torture to dying -- any of those have made that sacrifice. Christians could scoff at regardless of if those sacrifices have been nicely worth something, yet to disclaim that those are genuine sacrifices is sickening. the only non-sacrifice right here is Jesus's. in case you have faith the story, then you certainly have faith he knew he might come back up in 3 days. So his sacrifice replaced into relatively, in human words, going right into a quick coma with finished restoration.

Think of something that means something to her. My wife is Colombian, and she has been talking about going ther eto visist family. We are saving for that, but for Xmas, I bought her a Colombian flag (she always wanted one) and got a framed satillete image of Colombia. I know she'll love it.
Think sentimental.

Ask a friend of hers or a family member of hers what she might like or want. Be creative and get something for her that expresses how you feel about her.

In her stocking you should also put a gift certificate to Victoria's Secret for her. That will be the gift that will keep on giving--if you know what I mean.

What does she really want? Ask her. If she gives you nothing, what about a gift certificate for a pedicure and manicure? A professional massage? Some bath and body lotions? Good luck.
