Electoral Roll at your local library, these go back a long time so you should be able to find out who has lived in your house prior to you for a good few years, the only other way is by the land registry deeds that go with the house you live in, these are held by your mortgage lender until your mortgage is paid in full and unfortunately you have to wait until then to see them.

I would say talk to the neighbors. Especially if you have a neighbor that has lived in the neighborhood for a long time. I think everyone wonders this at some point. So people would be more open to give you information on who lived there prior to you!!!

If not you can try Town Hall - not sure how much you can find out there.

that easy .. ask some of yuor nabures and also get taling to any shop owners in the area ..also ask the kids that hang around ... you will find that most people know all about the house owners before you .. and asked the right way are always willing to tell ..all ..

If i was your neighbour you would have known within seconds. My husband calls me nosey parker, hell, dont know why i am just interested in what goes on around me.

try going to the courhouse the register of deeds they may be able to tell you who lived there
