It is telling you that nothing is plugged into the port for the network cable. You won't have one unless you are using a cable modem, DSL modem, or a router. If you have one of those things, and a cable in place, you may have a bad cable.

Your computer has a LAN (Local Area Network) port on it and there either no cable plugged in, the cable is broken, the other end of the cable is not plugged in or the equipment it is plugged into is faulty or turned off.

If you are not using this it is safe to disable the LAN in the network settings by right clicking on it.
Windows now installs drivers to allow a firewire port to be used for networking. This may also be reporting not cable and you should disable that one as well, shown as 1394 net adapter.

run your mouse pointer over the small pc screens in right corner right click it will tell you if LAN is enabled or not connected click trouble shoot it Will tell you your problem or you could bridge it.worth a click ebo

if the master computer you r trying to connect has added u then u can connect to it other wise u know the answer

make sure you have a modem connected to your pc..you can have either ethernet or USB cable...
