It depends on what I am planning of getting out of the holiday.
If I want to relax: the Kruger Park, there is nothing more soothing than waking up to the sound of beautiful birds. I also sleep better in the Kruger than what I have ever slept anywhere
If I want to get away and not see anyone I know: Aventura Resort in Badplass or Warmbaths. It is so much fun!!! You can go on all the slides (you are never too old for things like that), they have rodeo machines, four wheelers, and over special holidays (like Christmas and Easter) they have karaoke ans other fun activities. My fav part about these resorts is the hot pools. I love going there at night, it is relaxing and helps you sleep.
If I want to have some fun: Then anywhere in KZN. I LOVE Gateway and then you also have the option of the beech when you are all shopped out. That way you come home with new stuff and a great tan!!!
If I want good performance art: GRAHAMSTOWN!!!! I have yet to see as much diversity in SA than what I have seen in G-town. Their Festival of the Arts is fabulous. It is such a student friendly town that you can walk home any time at night. Everything is so accessible and the people are true to a small town. I have made so many great memories there. One of my fav things about G-tow are all the churches...there are so many and they are all absolutely GORGEOUS!!!

Hey there Tay_Jen
I'll have to go with the city of Cape Town. I've only been there once and it was only for a couple of days, but I must say that I absolutely loved it there.
The V&A Waterfront is a fantastic place to go to. There's a whole host of great shops, cool pubs and restaurants.
I also really enjoyed going to Camps Bay. It has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world without question. There are also great shops along the beachfront road and it was fun to walk down the street with my wallet steadily getting more and more empty!
Oh, and of course they have, like, the mountain hey! It gives you a beautiful view of the city with the blue ocean in the background. Now that's really a sight for sore eyes.
I was fortunate enough to visit when the international fireworks and laser show was taking place and it was incredible to see the show these guys put up. So that's another reason to visit Cape Town - they host world class international events.
Another favourite place to go down on holiday for me is the friendly city of Port Elizabeth. Again, there are great beaches and lekker things to do. There is a place called Barneys close to Kings Beach that is the best pub in South Africa! You can sit on the deck, sipping sundowners while watching dolphins swim by. Now doesn't that make a great postcard picture? Plus they make the best chicken burgers this side of the Southern Hemisphere...lol.
Mmmm, I've given you enough info to fill one of your tourism brochures.... :-)
Nice new avatar by the way...

My favorite holiday destination when I went to South Africa was Johannesburg International Airport. The reason for this was that I flew north to Zimbabwe from there and had a much better time than I had being chased by some guy with a knife in South Africa. The best destination in South Africa is an airport which allows you to leave.

Arniston is the greatest! Sandy white beaches with a warm sea is enough reason. But lemme give you some more reasons.
There are lots of other small towns nearby that you can visit, like Struisbaai, Swellendam and Napier. Bredasdorp is also nice, but busier. Fishing is a must! And when you eat out, you know your fish has been caught that very day. Also good for hiking.

Angola has a useful tough side to it, yet is somewhat dilapidated. The Okavango in northern Botswana is organic magic, and few issues beat a sundown braai interior the desert (Kalahari or Namib). I additionally love the southern islands of Thailand. Plan to climb Mount Kinabalu in Borneo interior the subsequent year and have a feeling that could grow to be between the right places on my checklist.

I live in South Africa and trust me there is A LOT of leka places to go to. It all depends on the type of person you are.I mean: if you like wildlife go to Kruger National Park or Marloth. If you are the party type and like clubbing, go to cape town...

My fave is Kwazulu Natal for sure! I have a house in Zimbali Lodge which is close to Balito. The Lodge has a hotel, golf course, pools, wildlife and a private beach so it's pretty awesome! And it's also chilled going around the place on my golf kart.
