Are you born with a sense of humor or do you have to work on laughter?

Most of the time I have to try hard *not* to laugh. lol I find humor in such a wide assortment of things... and some of them aren't even supposed to be funny. Perhaps I use humor as a way to create levity to an otherwise heavy situation. Because you know what they say "If I don't laugh....I'm gonna cry". And, well, crying isn't nearly as fun as laughing. Unless of course, you laugh yourself to tears. lol Hmmmm... did I answer your question yet? Sheesh - I have no idea. I guess I was born with some sort of sense of humor.... even if I am the only one who finds it amusing!

It's not a question of whether we are born with a sense of humor, it's a question of whether or not our sense of humor is shared by others. I know a guy down the street that I think is just hilarious, but when he runs out of the house with a gun in his hand and a bottle of vodka, it tends to be off-putting to others.

My point is that everyone has a sense of humor, it's just the people we know as comedians have the ability to communicate it and tap into what we all share in common. Once you're able to relate your sense of humor into the experiences of others, then you can be successful at comedy.

Most definitely comes naturally. Spontaneity is key to having a good sense of humor. You lose that if you try working too hard at it. Also if you try to be too clever the humor just comes out being drole, like a stupid sit-com.

I believe I was born with a sense of humour, but that very few people are funny enough to make me laugh. People say I have a sick sense of humour. I don't agree with that, I just find reality hillarious.

Sometimes I have to force myself to laugh, very few people have the ability to make me laugh
