Told my manager that my sister was in a car crash...I dont even have a sister..I am ashamed I used that..I noe have learned to be grateful for the job i have and not to lie to get the day off!

not sure if its outrageous but i said my uncle was in the hospital with heart attack going to undergo triple by-pass and that he had been estranged from family for years and this would be our last chance to make amends if something were to happen (sniff, sniff) ....got a coupla days off for that one :)
