Often this is a question that is supposed to 'stump' people and somehow prove something. But I don't think it does.

We might never know the answer to it, and our finite brains would likely not comprehend the answer in any case at this point in our evolution.

Secondly, I suspect your question is in fact a 'statement' and not a question at all. One in fact that is frequently used by the religious as 'proof', however vague that an All-powerful being exists, 'because there is no other explanation?!'

I am reminded that before humanity understood the physics behind electricity, there were alot of metaphysical / religious explanations for lightening and thunder floating about. Scientists were heretics because they could prove the 'unexplained'.

There is no question that can prove or disprove anything. Many atheists / evolutionists do not even believe it was a 'big bang'. The theory of evolution is still considered just that - a theory, it doesn't necessarily follow that 'God' is the only other explanation.

Edit: Then again - I have just read some of your other questions and have decided that all of the above answers are lost on you.

All the best!

Well some think it was God. Some thing it was coincidence. Some think pressure, mass and gravity had to do with it.

It could possibly be that the gravity and supercritical mass of the object was the cause of the bang. After Big Bang we still see all the cosmos drifting away from each other but what if eventually gravity will cause everything to come back crashing in creating again a sum of totality in 1 very small space which aagain being supercritical is unstable and explodes creating a new universe.

Our universe could be just one in an endless cycle of universes.

Not saying this is fact but it is something I like to think about.

Motti _Shish:: not at all familiar with microbiology huh? You might want to learn something about nature before you spout the word "nonsense". Think what you want but thought I should point that out

there are several theories on the reason behind the big bang, the most commonly believed one was that paralell dimensions collided causing constuent gasses to merge and create our universe it is part of string theory. Whilst the existence of the big bang is accepted science the cause is still up for discussion as we gain more knowledge the true reason will become clear what there is no scientific proof is the existence of god.

Haven't read any Hawkings on the subject, though I'm sure he has an interesting theory. One I've heard is that when the universe is done expanding, it colapses. Once it has reached a single point, there's another big bang and it starts all over again.

I am not a scientist. But, I have come across a question like this before.
What I got was..........Nothing
Someone explained that in quantum physics things pop in & out of existance, change directions for no reason.(not because of lack of knowledge) Kind of a choas theory.
etc. Big bang might have just happened

hehe...a match started all this. Holy crap! God prolly was trying to light up a bomber when he dropped the lit match, and POOF!

Here we are.
Seriously, I think creation doesn't hold any water. In my minds eye I cannot see it in a rational way. Evolution on the other hand, holds a little to me because it seems a bit more rational in thought how it could have went. And science today has not completely ruled it out.

There was life before the big bang. Energy and life force is timeless and knows no bounds, be they physical, metaphysical or anything else.

It just so happened that the energy condensed, a tiny accidental spark flew, and we're still flying now.

Another person that doesn't understand how it works and wants us, on YA, to explain to him what it would take years of teaching and explaining and learning to understand.

Just a suggestion, go back to school. College or University perhaps, since obviously any schooling under that level is only teaching people how to pick their nose rather than the basics of science.

There is no such thing as 'the big bang'! That's totally ridiculous! I mean imagine a chemical explosion happened in some laboratory and a mini world formed on the table with all sorts of living creatures on them, come on! That would be the exact same thing and I dont believe it would happen!

It is one of the great mysteries with no answer. Where did material come from for the big bang? Where did God come from? There are no answers. If you have nothing how can something come from that. It is impossible. So it is impossible for us to exist....but we do.
