I have had one bad experience. The Greyhound Bus Co. went on strike and I was stuck in a little town of Las Cruces NM. at midnite. I had to transfer to a Burlington Bus, but it wasn't due in until 7:00 in the morning. It was a small bus station and the coffee shot wasnt open. The only other people in the station were about 20 indians. They never said anything, but just sat and stared at me. If I went to the restroom, some of them followed me. It was a very long night. Outside of that, I have ridden many busses and all of my experiences were good....some were very good.

I have many years ago coming back from New York, took 18 hrs. Spent 3 hours In Cleveland, Ohio between 3-6 a.m. Another layover in Columbus, Ohio and when I transferred again in Dayton, Ohio, the bus driver didn't want to bring me into Indiana because I was the only one heading West from there. The rest of the passengers were heading South to Florida, he wanted me to travel all the way down there and back. Yeah right, I was ready to get my @ss home by that time.

Coming home from Europe the summer of 1994, we were flying on a German owned airline that allowed smoking. All the "non-smoking seats" in the front of the plane were taken when we got there (we were also a large school group). It would have been fine but the flight was non stop smoking. The people in the front of the plane would rotate to the back and smoke then leave. We complained to the staff who sympathized and personal agreed with us but could not do anything. WORST AND LONGEST FLIGHT EVERY!!!

I took a greyhound to see my girlfriend... From Mn to Ann Arbor, MI.

wow. I didn't miss the connections, (3-4 of them), but the 1st bus was 45+ minutes late. This caused me to miss just about all of my other connections and I was stuck with a nice juicy layover in Chicago for about an hour. All alone and in between 12-1am, it was incredibly sketchy.

I couldn't call my girlfriend or anything, but I was several hours late, and even worse the damn connectioin from Kalamazoo to Ann Arbor took an extra half hour because he wanted to stop and pick up his dry cleaning.

This happened twice, on the way back, The connection from Chicago to Minneapolis was overbooked... doubly overbooked. I was stuck overnite at chicago (again) waiting for another bus to ride... it was nuts. On top of that, the bus ended up just about breaking down so we needed to u-turn 30 minutes back to the Chicago Hub once we finally left.

I will never ride Greyhound again.

My sister was traveling from Michigan to Florida. She fell asleep about midnight, awoke to a huge fuss around 6 a.m. Some lady choked to death on an M & M in the middle of the night. The passenger next to the corpse discovered it about 5, screaming!

It has been 16 years and she vows to never step back on the bus.

Yes last January with JetBlue from Florida to Boston. Horrific turbulance (people just vomiting in seats all around us) then a five hour delay in the wee hours in NY. I was flying once a month to visit but have not flown since. They should have delayed the plane in FL instead of making people wait at Logan to pick people up. Plus we were promised free round tickets and never got them.

I rode a bus from Salt Lake to Reno, the bus driver could not or would not keep a steady speed. He would speed up, then slow down. Sitting in the seat, you would rock, front to back, front to back. He kept this up for 450 miles. Ever try to sleep in a bus .
