Your right, you are not all thugs, it's just that a majority of thugs dress the way you described and it's giving the rest of you a bad reputation.

Not all of you folks are thugs, I agree... but when I was younger and living in Britain, the majority of chavs in my school were so damn stupid. They would go around ranting about things they didn't really understand, they acted rude, and they basically talked crap all the time. Whenever someone stood up to them and asked them POLITELY to keep it down, they would tell that person to f.uck off.
But then there were the very, very few who were sensible chavs... they didn't try to fit an image, so to speak, and they were friendly. It's just the people who act like fools who make up the bad image thing.
So really... it's a mixed thing... which is kind of what makes labels harsh on the few decent folks out there.

I agree with most of the answers thus far. I have no problem with a person's sense of style or to a certain extent lifestyle choice. It's when said choices infringe on my own life that the problem and hence conflict arises. There are always going to be assholes, whatever they wear - I am mates with some Chavs who are good people and been in fights with punks/goths/emos. I'd say that the majority of criticism of chavs comes from boring, middle class tossers who are jealous of your freedom from their strict social boundaries.

I guess that I assosciate chavs with a certain type of behaviour - not necessarily a dress code.
The behaviour that I don't particularly like is when people are anti-social (dropping litter, not respecting others, driving cars too fast, swearing in public, etc)
If someone behaves well, then as far as I am concerned, they can dress how they like.

I dont get why chavs have those canines the two. i do no longer think of its user-friendly on the canines however, as once you notice chavs who're going around combating with random human beings or shoutin abuse at human beings, maximum folk think of if the all human beings is undesirable, then the canines are undesirable. i think of this is why many human beings are leaving in the back of those kinds of canines now somewhat than rehoming them to loving properties. particularly some human beings think of that they are all vicious canines, yet they infrequently ever are, and in the event that they're its no longer the canines fault its the irresponsible people who fail to coach the canines precise and inspire them to attack different canines or human beings.

chavs are unlucky. theyre easily identified, and easily ridiculed. you dont just go around wearing bling, driving dodgy cars, and looking menacing in your hoodie.. you are menacing, and you are alweays getting nicked in a 1980's ford escort.. and your women are dressed like cheap tarts... and you afford them no respect.. ive heard your guttermouths...
thug image..who are you kidding... baby burglars at best. look on any prison landing and there is chavvy, meek and mild, coz they arent really hard... they may give the appearance of hard... but its an illusion... i got out with my bat, and they all run away... all of them.. cowards.. you want to be hard...stand your ground after youve pissed me off... i'll show you collatreral damage.
and im just a 50 yr old biker...

The majority of trouble and disturbance on the street does come from kids wearing the clothes / bling you describe. It's only natural that people associate the trouble they experience with the kids wearing that kit.
If you want to disassociate yourself from it, I suggest you find another style.

Chavs are given a bad reputation by people who are too narrow minded to encompass people who are different than them into their lives.
