What would cause that? The vehicle is 4 years old. One of my other cars did this too, but it was a lot older, had a lot of miles on it. This one has about 46,000 miles. Thanks! Also, when you apply breaks there is often times a light squeeling noise now.

Ticking/clicking: This could be the engine needs to be checked, that means it could be worn out cam belt, valve in the engine head needs replaced....bit hard to pinpoint with limited information

The brake pads might be too hard for your type of vehicle, because there are alot of different compounds used on all brake pads worldwide or your brake pads are getting very low and need replacing ASAP, if you dont you can damage your brake discs. If it is only the brake pads replace them with a softer compound and this should eliminate your problem!

I hope this will help you.

Have someone check your wheel bearings. Of everything that could be wrong, that is the most dangerous. It can either lock up the wheel, or the wheel can literally come off of the car. Get that checked out! Brakes usually dont make any noise when accelerating.

Sounds exactly like bad wheel bearings.

In response to the above poster....bad brake pads would not cause the clicking, that is the bearings, although it is true that the brake pads could be worn as well, the squealing is more likely brake dust.

the squeeling as you come to a stop would be your brakes. They are worn down, and if you let it wear down to the rotors the repair cost will increase signifigantly. Just replacing the pads can be done yourself
