Hmm... Ok here is my experience
For a while i was using Norton till i found that my computer was REALLY running slowly becuase of it, then i switched to McAffe.
Like someone above me mentioned, both of them do the same work but then in certain aspects, either rules over the other.. but it kinda evens up.
Norton DOES make your computer slow if you have some sloppy configs but McAffe keep the computer quite.. responsive..
So all in all i guess both of them are equally good but McAffe is the cheaper of the two..
Good Day :)

McAffe is a low-budget anti-virus program.
However, it is more user-friendly than Norton.
Norton, is more complex, much better, and a higher-budget program. Edward Norton was a genious. He INVENTED "System Cleanup" and "Defragmentation" Some or many of your windows componets are contributed by Edward Norton.
Another recent development, is Windows Live OneCare. I have not tested this, but I have read great user reviews, and I figure if Windows is going to make a firewall/anti-virus program for its own system, it has to be btter than adequate.
PCcillin is another program, which is said to be mediocre but efficient for home-use.
System Mechanic 6 Professional (Kaspersky), comes with Anti-virus and a firewall, not to mention other programs that speed up your computer and create more space for you, System Mechanic is an entire sweet that *will* make your computer run as fast as if it were new. This is mny personal favorite.
Furthermore, all of these programs will allow you to download trial clients of their programs. Of course, don't download and use more than one at one time. But you can test, before you buy.

That's like asking what processor is better, AMD or Intel. They both do the same thing, so you're okay getting either. By the way, bang for the buck, AMD is better.
