Give it a good washing and it should be fine. I have used gravel that has been sitting aaround for that long with no problems.

fill the tank up and as you are move the gravel around with your hands, doing this will clean it as the gravel moving against each other will clean itself, let the water overflow as you go and when you start 2 see it slowly clear tip it and and refill and continue doing as before, when it is clean empty all the water and leave it 2 dry, once dry refill put your filter in and turn it on then in around few days put your fish in, if live plants are going in put your fish in a few days after the plants 2 let your tank 2 settle as changes 2 the fishes enviroment may kill it or make it sick

leave the gravel as spread out as you can outside in the sun for about three weeks. Rinse the gravel afterwards. Now it's perfectly reusable.

clean it to get the dust off... DO NOT USE SOAP!!!! rinse it really good. But freshwater gravel is so cheap, just go buy a new bag.

Simply rinse it with warm water - no soap, no detergents whatsoever - in a strainer.

yes you can reuse it.

but it has to be boiled.

and I mean boiled.

bring a large pot to a roaring boil

pour in about 1/2 lb at a time

bring back to a roaring boil
swish it all arounds while it;s boling...

take as much out as possible
do you next batch..

put it in a sterile dish-big plastic bowl or metal...

and you should be fine.....
