What about Zorro? I don't know the precise history of that mythos, but there you have a hero that grew out of the rebellious movement. The research into that mythos might give you some ideas.

People saw Zorro as someone who can do incredible deeds of good and triumph over evil. What was real and what was fiction blended together to where some people believed Zorro had superhuman abilities. As time goes on, the icon of Zorro grew larger than life. It might be easier, for someone being oppressed, to look up to a being with supernatural powers to give them hope and courage. By saying he or she had supernatural powers, it was easier to explain the great deeds the superhero did.

To see the hero as a mere mortal with mortal weaknesses and failings would mean that anyone could do those deeds. If anyone could do those heroic deeds, then what was stopping that person from standing up for him- or herself? The answer might not be something that most people would want to see in themselves.

Well, I'm sorry, but in general you're not quite right.
Superman was created to raise American morale during the second World War.
Spiderman was created to make money by giving kids in high school self-confidence, a beginning of morality, and a glimpse into the idea that having gret power is not just a walk in the park.
The Hulk was created to show that rationality and linear thinking is not always the best way to go.
They all brought our spirits up, made us into story-followers, got the most of our allowances week after week.

Maybe you could do some research into the writers of the X-men or the Defenders.

I am a creationist. I real consider God created the universe. That being mentioned creationism are not able to real be studied as a technological know-how. Science is simplest in a position to manage the usual. Science has no purview whilst the supernatural is worried. I can seem on the complexity of DNA and the techniques in our frame and say there have got to be a author. But there's no method to scientifically experiment God. Science isn't capable to manage God. Science demands set laws and legislation that don't difference. Science demands repeatability. God isn't repeatable. Nor does He honor the legislation of nature if He desires to do whatever that breaks them. God is past the purview of technological know-how that is why creationism will not ever be accredited via technological know-how.
