Well'
i really feel sorry for u for what happened with u
but u can realy file a case on him for the mental torcher and what ever u may claim responsible for. And that's what i would do if i was in u'r place but if u don't win the case then perhaps MORE RUMOURS ABOUT U THEN.
and if u have'nt got that much discussed among the public yet then u may talk to the parents of that cchild and if u think it won't work then u may file a case as i said before

Well, if their was a situation, that you admitted, that's how people talk! You can always sue them for slander if it isn't true!
That is why I am against states, like backward Oregon, violating Federal law, making abuse and neglect hearings open to the public! In criminal trials they don't allow the public access to pre-sentencing recommendations!
Parents are pushing for open courts so I suspect there is going to be a lot more spread around that isn't true!
They asked for it, now they are going to get what they asked for!!

SUE THEM. That's the only way. That's why we have libel, anti-defamation, and slander laws. The people talking about and believing these lies are your witnesses in court--their testimony proves that whoever started this rumor has caused your reputation a great deal of harm. If nobody believed it, you wouldn't have a case.

go the USA way sue sue sue.
but on the other hand if you are in the UK you could write to your local paper, and see if they would be interested in picking the story up to help clear your name. I would assume you have to proof the other people are lying.
