i'm really confused!!!
is there any difference by EXCEPTIONS from the firewall or turning it off in order to boost the torrent download speed?
any advice would be appreciated!
thx! ^.^

As everyone said turning off your firewall at any time is a major security risk, especially if your Windows is not fully updated. As long as you have the firewall allowing the ports for BT to pass through you should be ok.

Turning off the firewall and using BT compared to using BT with the specific ports opened up for incoming traffic will not give you much of a noticeable increase of speed.

hey id strongly suggest you donot turn your firewall off for any program cuz then there'll be a 1000 other things trying to attack....ive been using BitLord 1.1 for quite sometime now and I have a firewall.....it doesnt affect the speed at all.....I still get maximum speed possible.....

Turning off your firewall is dangerous. Your ports are constantly being scanned...'survival time' for an un-protected computer (before it gets 'infected' with something) is eighteen minutes...!!
