I agree they should provide the every1 in the country with a free digi box they have taken enough over the years in license fee and what have they done with it nothing but provide second rate programs that make you sleepier than any prescribed sleeping tablet?.It was however good to see that the goverment have turned round and said either you find better programs to put on air or when it comes round to the next time you want the 'contract' renewing then we will probably say no, sounds like even the ministers are getting bored with the second rate story lines in eastenders(though the billy and honey one is good) and more episodes of strictly come prancing lol

I think TV licenses are a bargain...£113 for programs like top gear, buzzcocks, have I got news for you, QI and the news! it would be nice of the BBC to provide people who have paid the fees for many years to get some return on their money... so yeah they should, so people can carry on paying and watching,

I don't think that tv's should be sold now that are not compatible with the new changes coming in, I think it's criminal that they sell TV's & will then expect you to buy a digibox etc to be able to watch & a TV licence taboot.
I agree with you, why should people pay a licence fee for something they cannot watch unless they have a digibox.

As an aside,
ITV costs each one of us on average almost twice as much as the BBC License does it's just added on to the price of the goods we buy in shops.
And no I don't work for the BBC.

It would be interesting to see if the Gvernment bring out any legislation on this. My guess is that there will be a trade-in offer for people over a certain age.

I have always said this myself. I think that if they want everybody to continue watching TV, then they will have to, not everyone can afford, or will want to buy STBs.
