I'm not sure what issue you are referring to. As to your question about Britain being multicultural. It always has been a society of mixed races and culture. With these Islands being invaded by:

Vikings;
Normans;
Anglo Saxons;
Romans;

And many more. Many of which settled in Britain..thus making it one of the most cosmopolitan in terms of mixed race. Even in the 1400,1500 and 1600's we saw a migration of workers from the continent. Immigration is not new to Britian but the vast numbers of new migrants to these shores is. And how this is controlled I think is not down to the vote but to governments who must do the right thing for all who now reside in the UK, by restricting those numbers.

It's not an issue. Britain has been multicultural since the time immemorial. Saxons, Romans, Normans ....all bloody foreigners .....like me ....who was born and bred here but descended from a Viking called Eric the Black. Should we have let the atheists in? That's more to the point! They've nothing to fight about so where's the fun in that?

You got "diversified at any and all costs" by the libs.

I was born in Bermuda so I have dual citizenship and I've seen the parallels in the two countries.

Forced diversity is an old Lenin Bolshevik trick.

I reckon you'd get the usual two men and a dog turnout.

The religious types would all vote for their own, the rest of us would not bother because-like the politics - there's nobody who really represents us and gives a toss about anyone but themselves.

By Brits who are you assuming? Cos i'm British by nationality but my ethinic background is different. If you mean the "English" yeh they may have voted for a not so multicultural britian but then you wouldn't have things like curry as your top dish and as many equal opportunity acts etc

Where is the issue? Is this a veiled attack on immigrants? If so, where do you draw the line? A lot of French people came here and ruled the country from 1066...

Ought I to worry in Yorkshire, because Lancashire folk come here and purvey hot-pot?

Or should I get worked up because Harrogate people come and mix with those in Leeds?

I reckon if they knew what the outcome would be .....for example, the troubles we have today HOMEGROWN terrorist spouting how they owe nothing to this country etc etc and places like leicester looking like forigein places!! Then i beleive the majority of the people would say NO!!! There are certain things we are never consulted about in this country even if does affect our lives in a big way....British democracy for you :D
