Definitely not. He has been involved in racing since a very young age (maybe 7 or 8) and has never looked back. I don't even know if he has a high school diploma (or whatever the equivalent is in Spain).
He is not alone among drivers in professional motor racing. Except for people who got into racing late in life after college(like Andy Pilgrim who races sportcars but had never raced professionally before age 22) I don't know of any famous professional drivers in any series that have actual college degrees, not honorary degrees.

With his huge popularity at the moment (in Spain), I'm sure he could get an honourary doctorate if he asked for one. Even Shane Warne (Australian cricketer, womaniser, serial text messenger and a regular user of prostitution services) managed to get one!
On a more serious note, Fernando has hinted that if he won the championship with McLaren, he reckons that he has fulfilled his ambitions in F1, and might decide to give it up...that means he might be retiring from F1 in his 20s....that's not too late (never is) to go to uni and study something. Bachelor of Performing Arts with major in Dummy Spitting, perhaps?

Doubt it very much. According to a friend of a friend who works at Renault Technocentre (South-West of Versailles) he's pretty boring, only interested in cars and computer games. She has to go out to lunch with him when he visits because he doesn't speak any French and she's one of the few employees who speak Spanish...
