The first answer from lareddawg is as correct as the second answer is absolutely WRONG! The philosophy of the American left is socialists and anti theme to the concept of America as a republic.
Note Art 4, Sec. 4, founded as a Republic...The founders detested the concept of democracy as a government form that has historically always failed.

No, and neither can anyone else!
A person's beliefs are just that! What is on record is not always their beliefs!
And why the question? Why didn't you ask how many people in congress had fascist beliefs, as there are a lot more of them????
And very few Democrats are socialist. What is always giving the breaks to the rich, who really don't need it. And neither do corporations, many who pay no tax at all!
We wouldn't have to take care of the poor if business didn't use them and then throw them on the streets for others to take care of! At least a few have a conscience, which we know most Republicans lack! That isn't Socialism!! Only to an idiot who doesn't have a clue how supply and demand economics works, especially when impacted by most large company's who have totally taken over sections of business, There is NO SUCH THING as Free Enterprise!!
