I found out what Graphics card I'm using (SIS 315) and downloaded the necessary drivers, but when I try and install it, it doesn't finish, it says something about not finding the driver, whats that all about? what can I do now?
I've tried downloaded the driver from all different sites, even the official one and they're all identical, what can I do?

When you do the install make sure you point the installation at the correct driver that you have just installed.

Download the file to a known folder. What format is the file in? If it is an exe just run the file you download.

When you install make sure you choose the location of the file in the install wizard - choose the location you downloaded to (ie dont let it just seacrh for the best driver)

Many, many times the only thing you have to do is completely uninstall then reinstall the driver. The initial install of the driver could have gone wrong (happens more often than you think) and you could go on trying to install it over and over again with negative results. Give it a try.

You've made a common mistake for newbies: you've assumed that Bill Gates, or any of his subordinates have the slightest idea what they are doing. They don't. Here's how to install your driver.

First, restart your computer. Then, tell Windows to shut up, by clicking on each and every Cancel button that appears on screen. After they stop appearing, go to the .exe file that you downloaded, and double-click on it. The driver will help you install. When finished, restart your computer. That's all.

You may not have the correct drivers. The chipset identification you have may be incorrect. Got to the SIS website and you their online identification tool it will detect and identify you graphics chipset and point you to the proper drivers.
