If they are on duty they aren't supposed to, if they are changing shifts etc they have to report on anything that has happened during their watch.

They can not talk to each other, not to other people while they are on duty. This is a serious issue their work, they belong to a a ancient security corp, they have to be serious,correct, disciplined, respectful, they are protecting a national treasure

Not while on duty. They stay there in one position only for a very short time and they change in turn.
