Was thinking, wouldn't it be cool to have a Newspaper which only print happy stories, like all the good things that has happened to people, enjoyable stories, could have a sports section as well...
If I had the money I'd do something like this, I'm not sure if there is such a paper, but yeah I'd like to read a paper like that first thing in the morning to feel happy...

First, the bad news: newspapers seem to be a dying breed.
Your best bet is to establish a web-based news outlet.
And then the not-so-good-news: back in my journalism class (years ago), surveys were done about whether people would actually buy a newspaper that featured only good news.
There was some interest, but not enough to support it with advertising.
Bad news sells papers (and its what drives viewers to radio, television and the Internet).
Why?
People are voyeurs.
We like to see/read/hear things we've never experienced before and much of that which we're curious about is human tragedy.
Consider the great plays of history.
The Greeks and William Shakespeare tapped into that tragedy to produce some of the best literature, EVER!
Now, I still believe that you should set up your own web page and do what you think is right.
Who knows, maybe you'll get thousands of hits and become a success...and I hope you do!
But my money is on the medium that delivers a darker tone of news.

Hate to tell you, but this has been tried, both on radio, TV and with a newspaper, several years ago. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. Bad news helps sells newspapers, and most people want a balanced view of THE news, whether good or bad.

This is a form of escapism, you want to get away from the real world, like John Lennon in the song Imagine, life is not like that we have to take the good with the bad and with this government there is more bad, so stay in the real world

Oh i agree with you, it would be superb. Even the news last night was bad news, horrible depressing news. Leaves you feeling if their are any kind people left in the world. Any normal people who dont hit and run etc. So sad, i am not going to watch the news in future i will instead watch "Have i got news for you".

Sadly, I think that's why people drop out of society because the media just harps on about all the death and destruction. The only good news we seem to get is frivolous ...like Madonna and child!

Do yourself a favour and put those 'free' newspapers to good use - soften them up and cut them into strips of toilet paper - make sure faces of politicians, real estate agents, accountants and patent lawyers are facing outwards when you apply them to their rightful place in society. Ahhhhh! Feeling good already?

It's bad news and celebrities that sell newspapers. The dream headline is "Sex change bishop in palace mercy dash"

I totally agree with you. We need the optimistic newspapers. Today's media is all about the negative things.
