should people who are sentanced to death be hung or just put to sleep?

Think about this. Some individual has actually chosen, as a job, a role in life which involves killing people. Now, the person carrying this out, will not have been hurt in any way by his intended victim. Morally, is this person any better than the person he is about to kill in cold blood? Would he still do it if it was a member of his own family? In principle, he should. If not, why not?

To get to your question, hanging is more graphic, and may entertain/ frighten the sick/morbid audience. Lethal injection involves a different sort of sickness in that it mimics a medical procedure, therefore, it is easier for the sick/morbid audience to endure.

Fin, your not a christian, you would be one of the sick/morbid onlookers.

I don't agree with sentencing someone to death! Life sentences behind bars is a punishment too.But that's not your question ...i think hanging is barbaric so in countries where the death penalty applies putting someone to sleep would be a better option.

Neither! if some one did a terrible thing, they r sentenced to death! which shouldn't mean hang or put to sleep! because what was the point of capturing them? Death will only take few mins, in S. Hussian's case, he did lots of bad things, the punishment is not supposed to be few mins! That's Wrong! He should be in jail and made suffer for all the evil things he did!

Also, Law has no right to claim life, You cant kill in the name of law, that's is also wrong! law decides a punishment not death!

The death sentence shouldn't be carried out in the first place. Why does the law or someone else get to decide when a person can live and cannot live based on their actions..It doesnt give the person a chance to truely repent

Just put to sleep with an injection. Hanging is too barbaric.
But on second thoughts people who are dying a horrid and painful death
from an illness are kept alive to suffer why should murderers have an easy
option.

Wouldn't that just be a 'sleep sentence'? Sorry, silly joke! Um, I think part of the idea of hanging is the public humiliation it involves, along with the horrific build-up of fear the person would have to endure. I really think that putting the person to sleep would be too kind. The point of capital punishment is to endure as much terror as possible, as the person has caused their victims.

It's the same darn thing...if you are hung (using proper modern methods), it is just as quick and painless as injection, actually loss of consciousness is even quicker.
There are those who debate the painlessness of both methods, in any case neurologists agree that you are unconscious almost immediately with either method. As far as what's more humiliating or whatever, I don't think it would matter much to you after the fact.

I think they should be hung so they can feel the pain of death, when put too sleep i don't think they would feel any pain it would just be like going to sleep at night.

Live by the sword? Then ye should die by the sword! If ye've raped someone then ye should have a hot poker shoved up yer ****! Paedophiles - I'd gladly pull the trigger!! In alot of cases - I know it's barbaric - but torturing someone for some of the most henious crimes would be classed as justice in my book!

I say, just get a rope and do it the old fashioned way.
