What is Magic? Well, simply put, magic is a form of entertainment. It uses props and illusion to create a "trick" that creates the feeling that some magical force is making things happen. Typically, when you see things disappear on TV, they are using props and camera angles, or just a complete setup. Large scale vanishes are no different than say making a coin disappear. It is just a matter of misdirection and concealment.

Often times when a magician is on TV, they will use the audience's reaction to a much leeser slight of hand trick and edit it as the reaction to a much larger trick they did using camera tricks.

It could either be a camera trick that youre seeing or it could be done through the use of mirrors, but it is not magic.
