Actually the true founder of DX is Bret "The Hitman" Hart. This is why.
Durning the time Shawn and Bret were beefing really hard the Commisioner made Shawn and HHH tag-team partners to try to beat the Hart Foundation which they did. Afterwards while Shawn and HHH (who weren't known as DX then) were out being stupid doing what DX does now. Bret came out and confronted Shawn Michaels and asked him, "Why are you two acting like Degenerates in front of the whole world?" This was the birth of DX. After Bret Hart called Shawn and HHH Degenerates Shawn in response said that they were Degenerates, Degenerates of the Next Generation. After saying that HHH coined the name DX. So if it weren't for the Commisioner making them tag team partners and Bret Hart DX wouldn't exsist. Remember HHH and Shawn Michaels are the first and original members but Bret and the Commisioner are the founders.
