Leave a couple of bucks on the bar at the end of the night. Tipping once every round it idiotic, UNLESS you're with a group of people and everyone is taking turns buying a round. Then leave a buck on your round.

well a normal waitress check at a table i would tip 20% maybe a few $$ more if they were great!! A bartender the same unless your bill is a tab over 50 or 60 then like 15... A little more for a bartender... When i go out i norm get drunk as hell and end up tipping 50%......... yeah i know thats alot but next time i go in i get service so fast.. If you tip a bartender goood in a club then you will never have to stand a a packed bar waiting ever again!! Its worth it!!

I support it. Servers make less than 3 bucks an hour in most states (there are a few states that do enforce minimum wage for servers. I wouldn't mind so much if tips were taxed in those). If someone stiffs their server and pays cash, the server loses money to taxes because the IRS assumes that the server made at least 17% of the sales in tips, and is taxed on that. Its riddiculous to receive less than 3 dollars/hour and then run the risks of having to pay taxes on money you don't make. And yet, that is how most servers and bartenders work. Peace

Depends on the country you are in.
In the US you tip a waitress 17-20% of the bill, and a buck for a drink at the bar - or more, if the service is cute and exceptional

I just go with 20% for waitresses. Usually I tip $1 per drink to the bartender. $1 is pretty standard.

1st of all it depends on the country u r in. And for 2nd service quality is important for me. I think 10% of the bill would be enough for a tip if the service is good.
