This happened in my family years ago.
At that time, my Grandma, Grandad, Mum and Aunty were living together at home. It all started when my Aunty had a really vivid, terrible nightmare where she dreamed that she walked to the end of the garden and saw two graves with little wooden crosses on them. It really disturbed her.
My grandparents and my Mum (who was then still together with my Dad) were collectors for the football pools and a few nights after the dream they were out canvassing. While driving my Mum saw this figure floating across the road. (My Dad didn't see it, he though she'd gone mad). She saw the ghost at 8 pm.
When they all got back home my Grandad said, "You'll never know what we've seen?!" and my Dad said "don't tell me .... a ghost, she's seen one too!" My Grandad said he and my Grandma had seen a figure floating across the road at about 10 pm that same night.
A few more days passed and my grandparents had these 2 really obedient, german shepherd dogs. One morning my Grandad let them out for a run in the fields as usual but on this particular morning (and for no reason) they jumped over the wall and straight into the main road. They were both hit by a double decker bus. One went under the front wheels and was killed instantly at 8 am. The other went under the back wheels and died 2 hours later at 10 am.
My grandad took the bodies and buried them at the bottom of the garden and put 2 little wooden crosses on the grave. When my Aunty came home from work, she saw the graves at the bottom of the garden with the little wooden crosses. It was exactly as she'd dreamed days before.
I promise that this story is absolutely true. My mum and Grandma still talk about it today.

There are those that require proof, or evidence, before they can justify the belief in ghosts and spirits. Maybe these people have never stood alone in the darkness and silence of a forbidding place. And maybe they have never trusted their own senses, that tell them they are not alone. I think it is very possible that people deny themselves and what their own mind and body tell them to be true, because they think it is safer with their eyes closed. I require less evidence for far more important things. Love, God, etc. Refusal to accept or believe in something, merely because one can't see it, or touch it, is scientifically archaic and unreasonable. Dark matter exists simply because it has gravity. The x factor in hydrogen exists, or the atom would fly apart. IMHO, it is the things that are measureless, that compel ones mind to reach into the void and the unknown, and grasp that which limited thinkers will never realise. Faith and belief in the other-side can only expand the mind, give better understanding, and spawn the thirst for greater knowledge. Do I have a ghost story? Many. And, with the exception of a few limited thinkers, most everyone does.

Though not in my area,I was in St. Albans,Hertfordshire this past weekend, and went into a pub called the White Hart. I went upstairs to go to the ladies room, and suddenly felt dizzy, lightheaded, and a band around my arms, and a tightness around my neck. I also had the strong feeling I wasn't alone. The feeling only occurred in one area, and when I walked away from it,the physical sensations passed. When I went downstairs,I asked the barmaid if the place was bychance haunted. Yes,she said, they used to hang convicts at the top of the stairs.

I lived in a haunted house once. I used to always hear footsteps coming down the hall when I was trying to sleep. The bedroom I slept in was darker and colder than the rest of the house. We played Ouija in the house once and it told us to get out of the house now, there was an evil spirit living in it. Then I found out from the landlord that a Hells Angel's biker had been murdered in that bedroom by a fellow member and the member's wife. Jikes.

yes i have a ghost story! I used to live in a bakery, my father used to run it! Every night at 12 am i would here the sound of whisking, it would get nearer and nearer to my room! I used to hide under my covers most nights. One night i thought i would be brave and i opened my door, right there before my eyes was a builder whisking cakes! I tried to talk to him but he ignored me! The next night it happened again, this time he started whisking my feet! i ran so fast out the house and never went back!

the Goatman of Craigen Woods. Deep in the bayous of Texas, where alligators and water moccasins dwell, there is a half-man, half-goat creature, that preys on teenagers parking out there in the woods !

once I was at home with my sister and we decided to go to bed. as i went upstairs she shouted at me because i didn't help her turn the lights off. as she continued having a go at me i noticed she was turning the TV and free-view off (we usually leave it on stand by) in the middle of the night we heard some noise and realised the TV was on. we went downstairs all freaked out and both the TV and free-view were on. we got so scared because the TV was on channel 5 where we had seen a documentary about amitiville earlier on but before we went to bed we had changed channels and saw something different before we decided to go to bed.
Any explanations?
