I can connect to the internet using mozilla firefox via my wireless network. but ever since downloading ie7 it has caused problems. Cant connect to msn or yahoo messanger or connect to internet explorer.
I removed ie7 and have ie6 now ( ithink) but it still; wont let me connect to the above.

i run connection diagnostic and comes up with this
Windows cannot connect to the internet using HTTP,HTTPS, or FTP. There is a problem caused by firewall setting.
Check for HTTP port 80, HTTPS port 443 and FTP port 21

I have disabled firewall and still does not help.

Anyone please??

well, I am baffled. If Firefox serves you well then why would you have to use Explorer? It is unsafe and open to attacks and many experts will descourage you from using it, read this for one

If you don't like Firefox, then why not try Opera or any of the ones which are recommended for a safe browsing experience?

How about trying a system restore
take your computer back to before you downloaded ie7
this is how to do it
Go to your start menu go to programs
now to accessories, now find system tools
from there go to system restore click on it
a window will come up , click next
now you should see a small calendar
change the date back to the day before you
first downloaded ie7 on your computer
then click on next your computer will do the rest

May God bless you and have a great day

It's possible Windows Firewall is blocking IE from the Internet. I know it sounds stupid but look in the Firewall settings on your Control Panel.

i would suggest to reinstall ur windows copy then use IE 6...not the newst version...

OR

u could start the firewall again and insert manually these ports into allow section.

Could be a problem with your proxy server...use a public proxy from http://publicproxyservers.com/ and see if you still get the same results or not...That's all I got...

Good Luck!
