I know my web cam works, is configured and tested.....but when I get onto Yahoo IM and invite someone to share my web cam, the whole programme closes and I lose Messenger completly. I dont know if Im doing anything wrong. If you can help, Id be grateful

Try updating your web cam drivers themselves and be sure all other applications are closed. You can also try another video conference software like iVisit for instance that is GREAT and FREE!

im continually baffled by people who have internet, have a webcam, and can even type and form whole sentences, and yet continue to use yahoo, aol, and/or msn messenger. use skype. it replaces all of the aforementioned and it works almost without glitch, ever. its one of the most solid pieces of software you can get.

I had that with a newer version of YIM, but when I get the previous version loaded, everything was fine...

mine used to do this with msn, if ne 1 invited me my whole pc would re start. i dont have a cluse as to why this happens though.
