well does the ticket proves you that you are already hooked up on a said scheduled flight?? ill be flying in my city by december

if you book, the airline or travel agency will give you an option to finalize or purchase the ticket. They will cancel your booking if you did not finalize or buy the ticket. But if you bought the ticket already, there's a record locator or booking reference (and ticket number if eticket) on the ticket which signifies that you have a booking. I fyou want, you can still call the airline to double check before you depart.

You are booked if your itinerary was paid for. No money, no booking. Reservation is not a booking. If you have a paper ticket in your hand, you are booked.

Go to your airline's website and enter the confirmation code. Your itinerary should come up.
