I must say the eyes do it for me too, you can tell a lot about a person from their eyes. Always keep eye contact when speaking to a lady or if she is talking to you.
Personality is good too, I love a dry sense of humor. Taking care of your appearance is a must.
Oh and don't be afraid of being romantic every now and again, flowers/chocs/wine every now and again for no reason at all, just to say you were thinking of your lady.
My man is not a flowers kind of guy but I get some of the most beautiful text messages out of the blue and that does it for me.

For me the first thing I notice is their eyes and smile. Then once they start talking to me it's the personality and making me laugh that gets me hooked.
