I think you have to be with your friend now, spend more time with him to take him out of this situation. It is difficult for 17 year to come out of this and i think you can help him to be strong.

You should not trust your other friend, if it was time-pass you have to be very careful with her. It seems like she is time-pass herself.
Don't every trust her.

Committing Suicide is a crazy act, it seems like your friend is not strong at all.

Tell me one thing " why do i guess that you may be in love with your friend". You care so much about him why????

Do you guys really know anything about being friends or friendship??? New one for me “Bestest best friend!” Christ have mercy! The female concerned is a “Close friend” Now your “Bestest best friend!” becomes your “Buddy” Really hilarious stuff this. Anyway to get to the point. Just because your “Bestest best friend / Buddy” falls head over heels in so called love (puppy love actually) with “Close friend” it does not mean that she should start drooling and emit reciprocal sparks. She is perfectly justified in keeping him firmly in what you call “Time pass” zone. With time who knows? Maybe she will warm up and the sparks may start flying. At age 17 what can your “Bestest best friend / Buddy” offer her? Your “Close friend” has her head on her shoulders. Your “Bestest best friend / Buddy” is a loser, an idiot and a crybaby. You seem to be lost between both of them. Don’t mother your “Bestest best friend / Buddy.” Kick his a*se and get him to be like other 17 year old boys. Don’t fall for all the emotional black mail these losers throw around. Warning…being with a loser for long may make you a loser too. I think that you will be better off being “Bestest best friends” with your “Close friend” Come on Arty Honey, don’t be a ‘Bimbo’

Give him some time to recover...then take him out and tell him that it was nice that d gal told it frankly rather than accepting him at first spending all his money and rejecting him later on...i think its not better to have such gals among your friends group maybe thats the reason the guy doesnt want to belong to ur group anymore!! Try calling and talking to him regularly like ever b4 without showing signs of any break ups happening...it will bring him back to normal! All the Best :)

He is only 17 and all these things like love affairs, failures, tears. Tell that guy he should care for his studies and plan for a bright future at this age. Forget all these non sense. If he does n't listen god only can help.

look girl i feel sry for this friend of yours i really do.
this is a very emotional time for him where his heart is not connected with his mind and this could be very bad because in these cases many people take wrong steps which curse them for the rest of their lives and may also cause sadness to others.
during this emotional period of his i advice to to try to Cher him up like for example take him for movies u know try to change his mood treat him with genteelness because any harsh moves can bring heavy losses and believe me u wouldn't want that........
