Is it just stuck or is it need of replacement .like i said its a good old bike but Id rather not spend good money on it , if I have to buy a new bike then so be it.. thx . slick

The clutch plates and/or the clutch cable are sticking more than likely.

Disconnect the clutch cable on both ends and see if you have free and easy movement. If no, then get some cable lube, penetrating oil, something... and spray in the cable. If you still don't have any movement, replace it.

Take the clutch cover off and disassemble the clutch assy. Inspect the plates for wear. I'd spray them with carb or brake cleaner to get them clean, then soak them in motor oil and reassemble.

Have fun!

great bike brings back some memories, very quick off the line, well anytime you store some thing it will be a good project for you and your son to tear it down and clean it & oil it and change out the fuel and all the rubber on the motor and will be great you and your son putting her back to her former glory , I know you can do it, and its a better way for your son to get to know it the right way, have fun, take care
