it is so political its a joke...the best way to watch it is with subtitles, its the funniest thing on telly then! the words to some of the songs are mind boggling!

I love it. It's a taste-free zone. I love the middle-aged rockers (of both sexes) trying too hard, the implausibly tight lycra, the rock solid hair, and, above all, the thought that out of all the outfits they could've chosen, they picked THAT! And then there's the actual music...
My children think I'm psychic when I predict that Greece won't vote for Turkey etc., and then they don't.
Last year, there were a couple of good songs. The one that came 2nd (Croatia?) was beautiful, haunting. But was also good to see Lordi win - maybe stightly OTT but better than the usual insipid winner.
One thing I don't enjoy is Wogan's constant p*ss-taking. He hits the spot sometimes, but more often than not, he talks over the other presenters, and just repeats the same tired 'jokes'. He likes the sound of his own voice too much. He's past his sell-by date. Graham Norton would be good...

I thought it was rubbish this yr cant remember a damn thing about it only that them freaky masked people won it.It doesnt play fair anymore everything terry wogan says is true they vote for each others countrys nearest to them they dont vote for the best song its too far fetched now i think uk shouldnt bother putting funds towards it as we will never win again, and its a waste of time.

It's a bit of fun, It doesnt bare much relation to current popular music. Terry Wogan's commentary makes it 10 times better than it deserves

As we are a mixed group of Europeans living in Scotland we have a daft Eurovision party every year, a nice meal and good company mixed with drinks and it is sooo funny to watch then. But yes it is sadly very political and in no way a talent contest.

Don't watch it.
Not interested.
The idea is superb though and I would be against cancellation.
Change rather than end is required.
Maybe expand it, have pro and amateur (new original).
Get Damon Alban, Robbie Williams or Jay Kay giving all for their country, as well as those doing it for the fame.
Could be as partisan as football, with the whole country involved.
Sportsmen sacrifice to play for their country, why not popstars.

nicely, by technique of now all of us comprehend the answer on your question. i finished observing the Eurovision music Contest years in the past. all of it were given too political and maximum countries do not vote for uk now. I had in basic terms heard snippets of the united kingdom get correct of entry to sung by technique of Engelbert and that i presumed it became so wishy-washy and smaltzy (pathetic) it hadn't a desire of triumphing. even although i did not watch the teach, I had considered a clip of the Russian grannies and that i became hoping that they had received.

I used to, not really worried about seeing it now, there are too many countries and it is so political, best bit is Teryy Wogan and his spot on observations
