My colleague dreamt that she was on the Cape Peninsula (near Cape Town, South Africa, where we live) and that while watching dozens of whales in the water off the peninsula, she saw a tsunami approaching.

Anyone know what this might symbolise? Especially the fact that it is on a peninsula? (She has found symbolism for the other components of the dream).

i know that fish symbolise the inner self- and energy. but large fish such as whales represent a threat that can't be avoided as they're submerged in the subconscious and manifest themself unexpectedly.

The tsunami represents, what else, danger or fears that your collegue has about her own psyche, perhaps a feeling of being out of balance in the psychological sense.
Her fears might be caused by external factors, something in her environment or internal, her own psyche....

There isn't much on dreaming about peninsulas but islands symbolise a lonely demeanor in a restless time. With the tsunami in the background it might indicate the need to find a "safehaven" (the island) to find rest and energy among the turbulence of life

If she has dreamed it several times and the images were also seen while she was awake, it might very well mean a natural disaster is going to affect her one way or another.....

Perhaps she's just concerned about the environment (at the peninsula???) or/and how global conditions are having its effect on the planet.....
